An ongoing investigation into the part played by verbal language within the architecture. The research produced a major output, the book 'Words and Buildings' in 2000, but I continue to work occasionally on this project, and have written various shorter essays and articles since (eg 'Pevsner the Writer', 'Primitive, the word and the concept'.) I give public talks on the research in a variety of countries and fora in recent years.
