NSFC: Theory and Methods of Multi-levels Measurement of Map Information Content
National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC): Theory and Methods of Multi-levels Measurement of Map Information Content (PI: M Deng, RMB 600,000, 41171351). The measurement of map information content is one of the most important basic research topics of both modern cartography and geographical information science. This project analyzes and solve the measurement of map information content from the viewpoint of spatial cognition of map structure, and divide it into four levels, namely object level, neighbourhood level, class level and map level. My element is costed here to support a research associate for 3 years in the Central South University, Changsha, China. (Co-I, £12,000)
