Incontinence associated skin problems
Those who wear incontinence often suffer from sore skin and we are working to address the problem. Abrasion damage due to friction between skin and pad materials is one of the and we are working to measure friction, build physical and mathematical models of interaction and ientify the friction mechanisms to pave the way for the development of materials less damaging to skin. We are also working on the development of clinical tools to help caregivers identify at an early stage skin problems which need to be treated.
