As Director of the UCL Institute of Making I am responsible for its research strategy. We conduct research into novel materials and materials technologies using a multidisciplinary approach assembling research teams from across the spectrum of disciplines from the humanities, to art and design, to medicine and engineering. Current projects include the Wearable Assistive Materials Project (EPSRC) , Light.Touch.Matters (EU-FP7), Scrambled Messages (AHRC), the Materials Culture (EPSRC).
