Cancer fear systematic review and meta-synthesis
The Health Behavioural Research Centre (HBRC) led by Professor Jane Wardle have gained Cancer Research UK funding for a study looking at fear of cancer, its measurement and impact on screening attendance behaviours. My role in this project is to lead on data preparation and analysis in a systematic review and meta-synthesis of qualitative papers about the impact of fear on cancer screening. In practical terms this involved contributing to aspects of the systematic review protocol and data extraction process, design and participation in the meta-synthesis and writing up the study for publication (a paper is currently in preparation).
