Welcome to the Human Centred Systems Group… Our group is part of the Department of Computer Science at University College London. We investigate new technologies & systems – working independently, with leading industry partners and with other research groups, nationally and internationally. The interdisciplinary backgrounds of our members allow us to cover a broad range of research themes, including cognition, emotion, situated interaction and the design of new interactive technologies. We have a particular focus on the design and use of systems in healthcare. Find out more about our research projects. We teach a variety of courses to undergraduate and graduate students as part of the CS curriculum, and contribute to the Masters programme in Human–Computer Interaction with Ergonomics. We collaborate with the UCL Interaction Centre (UCLIC), a leading UK Centre of Excellence in Human-Computer Interaction. UCLIC is the only UK HCI Centre with formal interdisciplinary support across Computer Science and Psychology.
