Regeneration and development research within the School examines the interrelationship of property markets and planning and the effectiveness and sustainability of urban regeneration in the UK, Europe and other international contexts.

The global economic recession has altered the business-as-usual practices of investment, agglomeration and innovation providing new areas of investigation and critique focusing on the uneven geographies (and strategic policy impacts) from changes in direct foreign investment in the global economy.  Moreover, London remains an integral site for examination of the planning-property interface under neo-liberal agendas..
