The Clinical Research Group focuses its interests on HIV treatments, opportunistic infections, hepatitis virus infections and human papilloma virus associated disease. The group is a major collaborator in the MRC HIV clinical trials programme with close links with the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. A key element of the strategy of the group is to promote collaborative research with laboratory based scientists. There are continuing joint programmes of research with the Centre of Virology and the Department of Immunology and Molecular Pathology at UCL.
