The objective of Stroke@UCL is to enhance stroke research and treatment by bringing together researchers and clinicians interested in cerebrovascular disease across the hospitals and research departments of UCL and its partner institutions to promote interdisciplinary working and the integration of basic with applied research in stroke. The aims of Stroke@UCL are: • To link existing clinicians and researchers interested in stroke together across the campus • To enhance and develop links between research and the clinical services • To develop and enhance translational and clinical stroke research and treatment • To provide leadership, mentoring and encouragement to younger researchers and clinicians to promote stroke research • To contribute to strategic planning of research programmes and facilities for stroke research • To develop novel educational programmes
