Soft materials show great promise to develop future advanced functional materials for applications in healthcare, energy, communications and information storage. Investigators spread throughout a very wide range of UCL departments and units are engaged in various aspects of soft materials research. The UCL Cross-disciplinary Network on Soft Materials exists to provide a contact point describing the main themes and facilities for soft materials research at UCL and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and approaches between researchers in different fields.
