Systematic Reviews & Evidence Synthesis
This research group represents the work of the EPPI-Centre, a specialist centre for the conduct of, and development of methods for, systematic review and for the study of how research is used in policy, practice and personal decisions. For the last twenty years the EPPI-Centre has taken a leading role in developing methods to support the way that research can assist people to make decisions. The systematic review part of our work undertakes reviews of research for a range of agencies including the Department of Health, the Department for International Development, and the UK centre for What Works Crime Reduction. The 'research on research use' part of our work studies how to most effectively make use of research in the real world. Our funders include the European Commission, the Wellcome Trust and the Educational Endowment Foundation.
