UCL Male Genital Cancer Centre
The UCL Male Genital Cancer Centre brings together UCLH clinicians who are research active in the field of rare cancers. The portfolio includes NIHR funded clinical trials, translational research and novel surgical techniques to advance the management of patients with penile cancer, testicular cancer as well as pre-malignant diseases of the male genitalia. Research into rare genital conditions such as mucosal melanoma and urethral cancer is also included.
Current NIHR funded projects include :
VELRAD - multicentre trial comparing laparoscopic v open inguinal lymphadenectomy
Other projects include
MRI-PET imaging in clinically impalpable disease
