Carbon Capture Legal Programme
The Carbon Capture Legal Programme (CCLP), set up in June 2007, aims to provide a dedicated, up-to-date, open access and independent resource for the analysis of legal aspects of CCS. The Programme covers legal and policy developments in various jurisdictions, with a view to promoting informed discussion and analysis by decision-makers in government, industry and the wider community. The Programme is based at the Centre for Law and the Environment, University College London. The Centre was established in 2001 to provide a focal point for the Law Faculty's expanding research and teaching interests in environmental law, and is now recognised as one of the premiere centres of expertise, with the capacity to encompass international, European Union, and national aspects of environmental law and policy. In addition to the Centre's in-house expertise, we work closely with the University of Oslo's Research Group in Natural Resources Law chaired by Professor Hans Christian Bugge.
