AstroSurf is a network which aims to bring together surface scientists (both experimental and theoretical) and molecular astrophysicists to encourage the application of surface science techniques to problems that are of relevance to astronomy. In addition the network should stimulate future research which has a direct relevance to astronomical systems, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and expertise. By acting as a platform to encourage collaborations between research groups, access to a wider range of experimental and theoretical techniques should be enabled.
