  • Notes:
This study of new pedagogies designed and introduced to improve learning through ICT in adult education followed a two phase paradigm; the first phase was developmental (design of schemes of work based on adult education and ICT based learning theories) and the second an itnervention study where impact of these new teaching approaches was measured with a pre and post testing design. Results confirm the value of introducing learner autonomy, variety, collaboration, construction of artefacts as part of improving teaching in adult education. This conference paper was strongly praised by referees (peers in European Institutions) for both reasearch rigour and impact in the field. It is one of the first research studies in the area showing impact of use of technologies and learning enhancement.
