Abstract
We show that the role of interfaces in calculating the transmitted and reflected intensity from a slab is important and can not be neglected for all regimes. We use RTE with the discrete ordinate method for a slab with interfaces and multilayers slab without interfaces. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
