Abstract
The objective lens of an x-ray microscope that can be replaced by a computation that inverts a three-dimensional (3D) measurement of the amplitude of a coherent x-ray diffraction (CXD) pattern to a 3D image was shown. The computation relies on the fact that the diffraction can be oversampled relative to its spatial Nyquist frequency, so that the Fourier transform can be overdetermined in spite of the missing phase information. Residual internal texture that could be attributed to twinning which might originate from dynamic recrystallization of defects introduced during their formation was found.
