Abstract
The Brandon Centre introduced a programme evaluating mental health outcome in 1993 and since then has continued this programme on an ongoing basis. In this chapter we start by describing the reasons for the introduction of the programme. We then consider a number of approaches for evaluating mental health outcome including the one chosen by the Centre. We discuss the implementation of the programme and finally report on various outcomes.
