An adaptive spatial clustering algorithm based on delaunay triangulation
In this paper, an previous termadaptivenext termprevious termspatialnext termprevious termclusteringnext termprevious termalgorithmnext termprevious termbasednext term on previous termDelaunaynext termprevious termtriangulationnext term (ASCDT for short) is proposed. The ASCDT previous termalgorithmnext term employs both statistical features of the edges of previous termDelaunaynext termprevious termtriangulationnext term and a novel previous termspatialnext term proximity definition previous termbasednext term upon previous termDelaunaynext termprevious termtriangulationnext term to detect previous termspatialnext term clusters. Normally, this previous termalgorithmnext term can automatically discover clusters of complicated shapes, and non-homogeneous densities in a previous termspatialnext term database, without the need to set parameters or prior knowledge. The user can also modify the parameter to fit with special applications. In addition, the previous termalgorithmnext term is robust to noise. Experiments on both simulated and real-world previous termspatialnext term databases (i.e. an earthquake dataset in China) are utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the ASCDT previous termalgorithmnext term.
