Abstract
An attempt was made to determine how much efficient modern computers and matrix algebra would be in tackling the problem and offering the opportunity of using the visualization of NIR data. Hence, a matrix algebra program was written to do the CROME calculation. The MATLAB program computed the complete set of 244,650 calculations and displayed the results in about five seconds. All of the speed improvement was due to memory/CPU speed improvements.
