Recent years have shown an enormous growth in cognitive science using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). By means or rapid sequential imaging and despite fast presentation or stimuli, it is now possible to reconstruct the haemodynamic response related to a single stimulus (event- related fMRI). This brier report reviews the development and applications in the sphere or memory research with studies done in our group. A concise overview or current models or memory systems is followed by comparison or methods used in the past decade and current approaches.
