Abstract
Analysis of the artwork and early career of the Turin-based artist, Piero Gilardi, with special attention to his part in the development of Arte Povera in the years 1966-69. It deals in detail with the milestone exhibition of 1966, Arte Abitabile, in which Gilardi collaborated with Gianni Piacentino and Michelangelo Pistoletto in the formative group show at the Gian Enzo Sperone gallery in Turin.
