AIMS
(1) provide an overview of the best architectural work produced by students at the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture
(2) provide a conceptual schema by which to understand that student work.
QUESTIONS
(1) What are the different kinds of architectural work produced by students at the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture over the last decade?
(2) How can we understand this work in relation to internal and external themes, issues and contexts.
METHODS
Two main research methods:
(1) archival exploration, review and selection of student work
(2) Interpretive essay “Bartlett Designs” by Iain Borden contained in the book, and used as the introductory schema.
CONTEXTS
The research projects sits within the context of architectural education, seeking to record, evaluate and disseminate the best work produced by one of the world’s leading schools of architecture.
DISSEMINATION
The book has been disseminated worldwide by the publishers Wiley, and has already been reprinted several times.
