Hydrogen energy systems analysis
This project is exploring the possible future role of hydrogen within the UK energy system. UCL-Energy are members of the EPSRC H2FC Supergen Hub where they lead on socioeconomic analysis of hydrogen. The work combines qualitative scenarios that explore uncertainties in long-term innovation pathways with quantitative modelling using the MARKAL and TIAM energy systems models. This approach can provide important insights for policy-makers concerned with enabling innovation and new technologies for long-term decarbonisation.
