Hydrogen energy systems analysis
This research programme is exploring the possible future role of hydrogen within the UK energy system. Paul Dodds is a Co-I of the EPSRC H2FC Supergen Hub, leading on socioeconomic and policy analyses of hydrogen. UCL also lead the Hydrogen's Value in the Energy System project, which combines qualitative scenarios that explore uncertainties in long-term innovation pathways with quantitative modelling using the UK TIMES energy systems models. This approach can provide important insights for policy-makers concerned with enabling innovation and new technologies for long-term decarbonisation.
