Realms of Impossibility: Air, Ground + Water
The three volumes narrated the parallel story of man’s occupation of the skies, earth and oceans. The contents investigated two distinct types – realised projects that revolutionized the way we live, and theoretical unorthodox ideas that astounded and challenged conventional architectural thinking. Invited project and text contributors included Itsuko Hasegawa, Kisho Kurokawa, Anthony Gormley, Renzo Piano, Enric Miralles, Buckminster Fuller, Archigram, Zaha Hadid, Diller + Scofidio, Langland + Bell, Rem Koolhaas, Alvaro Siza, Christo and Frank Gehry. Output: 3 Edited Books; 'Realms of Impossibility: Air' (Wiley Academy UK + USA, 2002) ISBN 0-470-84439-6, 208pp; 'Realms of Impossibility: Ground' (Wiley Academy UK + USA, 2002) ISBN 0-470-84442-6, 208pp; 'Realms of Impossibility: Water' (Wiley Academy UK + USA, 2002) ISBN 0-470-84441-8, 208pp; Co-editor: Ed Liu
