In recent years I have been involved in setting up a new book series that was originally published by Ashgate, and later with Routledge, under the title of 'Design Research in Architecture'. I co-edited this series along with my colleagues Professor Jonathan Hill and Professor Jane Rendell from the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture, and Professor Teddy Cruz of the University of California at San Diego/Estudio Teddy Cruz. It was the first book series in the world to focus on the emerging area of architectural design research, and as such mixed together books written by academics and practicing architects. I also edited a general theoretical book within the Ashgate series about the subject of design research more generally. The book series has now transferred to UCL Press.
