Abstract
Cable-car systems are relatively cheap and quick to construct, with low levels of localised pollution. Medellín’s cable-car systems are a public sector project, financed jointly by the municipality and the Metro de Medellín. They are also socially progressive in a context where social and economic disparities are considerably high.
