Biography

I gained a BSc degree in Statistics from Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc degree in Statistics at Lancaster University which was funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. My interest lies in the pure statistical science and ways of delivering its various aspects and interpretations to non-statistically orientated audiences. I joined the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health in 2008 and since then I have led many statistical courses with great success. In January 2011, I also started a PhD at a part-time basis on Copula models and their application within paediatric data. In August 2014, I was promoted to Senior Teaching Fellow after 6 years of continuous pedagogical progress in the field of statistics.

Research Themes
Research Summary

Throughout my time at UCL I have collaborated with several colleagues and students to publish papers in various journals.

I have also contributed in teaching-statistics conferences, journals and books.

Teaching Summary

I thoroughly enjoy teaching statistics and making this science understandable to all - along with my colleagues at the Centre for Applied Statistics Courses (CASC) we achieve this via short statistical courses on a variety of topics. We use lay language with minimal statistical terminology/equations and plenty of practical exercises to put the theory into practice.
