BIO

My research focuses on the systematic study of human disease at scale in large cohorts of electronic health records (EHR). I have experience in developing and evaluating novel computational methods for disease phenotyping in linked EHR, and I work with clinical data from UK Biobank, Genes & Health and national data sources in collaboration with the British Heart Fundation Data Science Centre and the CVD-COVID-UK / COVID-IMPACT consortium.

Current roles include:

- Co-lead computational pipelines in EHR https://www.ucl.ac.uk/health-informatics/research/disease-atlas

- Co-investigator in GSK-UCL Phenomics Hub.

- Line managing postdoctoral data scientists. Supervision of data science dissertations and internship projects.

Previously a Marie Curie Research Fellow in UCL investigating human visual attention with functional MRI and behavioural experiments, and a visiting researcher at the Beckman Institute at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in USA during and after PhD from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid.
